ADOPT ME

There are plenty of dogs out there that need to be adopted. Each of them has a more heart breaking story than the next one. We wish we could feature all of them here but we can't. Our adopt me section features handpicked dogs that touched our lives in one way or the other. Take a look, your next soul mate might just be around the corner!
Julia volunteers at Pet Orphans and personally walks and spents time with all the dogs shown below.

 MEET GLENDA
05/28/2008

Glenda stole my heart from the first moment I met her, she is absolutely a great gal. If I would have more room at my house I would adopt her.

Glenda is super smart and playful, which makes her a well trainable dog. However, she is so smart that she needs a lot of exercise and attention. If she is just left alone in the backyard, she'll climb or jump the fence.

If you enjoy walks and have an active lifestyle, Glenda is your girl! All she needs is strong leadership and she'll follow wherever she can. She ain't the type of dog who can stay at home all day. If you work long hours I would strongly recommend a dog walker or doggy day care.
Glenda is full grown and is currently waiting for her DNA test results.
She is available for immediate adoption at:

 MEET ANDY
05/30/2008

When you meet Andy for the first time, don't be deceived by his looks. He might not win a beauty competition but he will definitely steel your heart. He is so gentle, great with people and a really good walker. It's amazing that he so good tempered, given the circumstance that he was one of many dogs rescued from Lancaster. He has sooo much love to give, he just makes me smile every time I am walking him.
I call him my
gentle
giant love bug (he weighs about 73lbs). He is definitely on the calmer side.

 MEET DANNY05/31/02008

Danny is 6 month old and he is relentless. This guy has a lot of energy and loves to play and play and play!
Danny is definitely not a dog for couch potatoes.
In my personal opinion, I would place him in a family with other dog(s), otherwise he could drive you crazy. However, if you are someone who is super patient and super active, he is the right guy for you.
